I actually feel relaxed. Yes, I know that is the point of vacation, but it seems to rarely happen. It did come as a surprise, however, that both Mark and I came back from a vacation with 2 kids with a good amount chillax. Hoping to keep that up. More photos from the trip to come.

The studio will be closed until February 1st. I am heading off to some much needed family and rest time. I will head off with a few shots of Daphne and Fiona from last week. Hoping to see you on the 4th at We Heart Sharlane!

“Sharlane is a mother, a photographer, and our friend. This year began like a fairy tale, complete with a magical proposal from the man she loves. Like too many fairy tales, this one turned dark as Sharlane was diagnosed with cancer even before the wedding planning could begin. The diagnosis itself is scary enough, but so are the crushing costs associated. This is our attempt to help our friend, who has helped so many others herself.”

Shar is a dear friend, fellow photographer and one of the most genuine, kind and generous people I know. I am thrilled that this event has been put together to help with her costs in fighting cancer.

A and D were so much fun to shoot– they were up for anything. Frolicking through a field in a that GORGEOUS custom gown– isn’t Alison smashing? We even attempted some night shots on the Santa Monica Pier- maybe a little too cold in December.

And thanks again to Dana for the being such a fun assistant and second shooter as well as the fabulous Christina of Simply Modern Weddings who made the day easy-breezy for all.

Studio Holiday Closure and sneaky peaky

After flight delays and ice storms (flying out of Belllingham= trouble,) I am back from CA and Alison and Daysun’s AMAZING wedding in Santa Monica. Have so many more to post, but just grabbed a few from the shoot we did in the field next the the chapel. More to follow when the studio re-opens after the holidays. And thanks to Dana for be a fabulous assistant and super fun to hang out with.

We are back from a long Thanksgiving week in Portland. Had to post this one of the chubbiest member of our family sitting on Grandma’s couch. Lots more of the family to post, but I am gearing up for some family shoots and Alison and Dayson’s awesome wedding in Santa Monica. Bellingham just kicked into Winter this week, so I am looking forward to a little CA warmth. More soon…
